Conversatin' with the MSM...
Checking out the new WaPo post.blog and it looks like there are very few posts for April... Just checking in to see how the conversational, bottom-up ability is going at WaPo to talk with the audience as MotherPie has been covering the issue of Talkback Newspapers. BTW, WaPo has done an excellent job of having emails for reporters and blogs and Technorati listings for who is blogging and the live discussions to get some interaction. But the new WaPo post.blog has lots of readers asking questions and there is a very obvious lack of WaPo response in this place for feedback. No interaction or commentaries in response to readers???
If one sends comment to the NYTimes, one is likely to receive a form email in response. When theNYTimes redesigned their online site, one question was intriguing: how did they figure out which movies their readers liked? (See MotherPie's article on New York Times, MSM making changes online.) So, an email was sent with the question regarding the movies... The NYT response (and only response):
Thank you for contacting The New York Times on the Web.
We appreciate your feedback and have passed it along to the appropriate department. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance to you.

Interesting to see how these national newspapers are working to engage readers...MotherPie's post on what the experts are saying about talking with newspapers here. Here is a MotherPie post about how one newspaper, the SFNewMexican, is engaging the readers of Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico and others here.
There is not a written script for how print media can do this new new media conversational format...
