Word Art: Talking Points...

Bush_slogansSound bites. Words and Phrases. Language and imagery. Words and associations. Tag lines and politics.  Creative Director Rich Silverstein has taken the words to a new artistic level.  The art of the word and the power of word imagery...

The Bush communication strategy has gifted us with a slew of slogans, with the letters at left being just a little snip of the full piece.

The wordsmiths have culled the sayings, collected the snippets and have slung them back into the political maelstrom.

I think it is a pretty creative use of word art and maybe the best example I've come across. I've been focusing on campaign logos and branding so this follows right along that path of political communications.

See the full story for the campaign ideas, the products and to see the items in detail.  Words that capture our political culture may soon be seen on buildings in L.A., New York and Washington.

This is very cool.
My 16 year old son did something similar to this in his photography class this year.
Fun and effective.

I read a recent article about Caroline Kennedy's husband Ed Schlossberg and had no idea about his artistic vision. He uses verbiage as a graphic art form to great effect. You might enjoy his design firm's website:
