The first spring I lived in Kentucky (1993) it snowed 18 inches in mid-April. It has never snowed that much since, at any time of the year. I don't have enough sun for forsythia, but there are many bushes through the neighborhood.

Here in Colorado I've learned to look at the shade of brown on trees and shrubs. It is every so slightly greener this time of year. We have a few hardy perennials pushing through, and the grass is greening up. After each spring snow we get a little greener. And yes - that juniper pollen is vicious!

love forsythia!
We got more snow today...nothing sticking though...

Spring will come soon right?!!!
