Mothers, we can't sit back and worry just about our own. We must roll up our sleeves and work to make sure our children and their children and their children can have a world worth living in.
How do we do this? We're going through a huge shift and we must act or we'll get upset.
What can you, can we do? The future can be bleak but doing nothing is not the answer.
Mothers know how to look to the welfare of others... we must rise.

We're trying to instill the message into our kids that not everyone is as fortunate as we are. They don't get it, of course, since they're 4 and 2, but eventually, if we keep saying it, and don't buy them every single thing they want (which we couldn't if we wanted to), they may get the picture. Next Christmas I'm going to have Mary Margaret pick a name from the Angel tree and find presents for that child. Of course, there is much, much more to do, but this is a start. She already knows that her daddy helps people get houses when they otherwise couldn't.
