Do you ever wonder how you got from there to here? Do you ever think of how the twists and turns of life have changed you? Do you ever think about how the path ahead is full hopes, dreams and plans?
I do. Especially as my daughter is planning to walk down the path to be married, up that aisle on her father's arms, up to stand next to her intended, turning to face the same path back, only as a different woman, facing a future road she will mold, shape and travel.
When we turn to look behind us, what we see at the moment is very different than what we remember when we look back over a stretch of time. Where we are compared to where we thought we'd be or where we are compared to where we want to consider going...
Big life thoughts full of transitions. Roads that aren't nowhere paths but places that lead from and lead to what can define us, change us, make us.
That aisle of life: a red carpet/a path of petals moment for the bride.
Sometimes I think it's less a path, than a twisted root system. What is, would have been, will be the right leader?

Lovely thoughts as the wedding day gets closer. I often wonder what would have happened at certain times if I had chosen a different path. Sometimes I'm glad I don't know.

Golly. I hope your daughter gets to read this -- often.
