Every day I pray for my sons protection. Never have been able to grasp mothers who don't.

I'm go happy you daughter had her mother and brother there to rescue her. She will be more careful in the future. Good lesson with a happy ending.

Phew! SOunds like a close call! Isn't it weird how you get a sense of foreboding before it all happens. Glad it didn't turn out worse.

It is scary being a mom! My little ones are fairly under my control now (age 5 and 8), but soon they will spread their own wings and I will likely experience the close calls that other parents go through. I know a family who lost 2 of their 6 children within three months of each other. I can't begin to imagine their pain and how they cope. Sometimes, it feels like we are watching our children perched on the knife blade of life and it is frightening.

It's so hard when they get to be teenagers; mine is starting to learn to drive. It's all a whirlwind of worry.

Most kids in the U.S. today don't get such excellent lessons. It will stick with her and your family for the rest of your lives. Nature is unmerciful.
