Yep. My mother had the wig, the girdle, and the gloves.
Whew! Glad I don't live in that area. I'd drown in sweat.

I remember the time when women wore girdles, I did, no white gloves for me though ;) And I don't think I have ever seen any of these plastic things! I'm with allison, they ARE frightening!
